Opening Jogja Biennale XV

For opening night, Voice of Baceprot will be the highlight of our performances. These young girls coming from Garut, usually known for their identity of wearing hijab, but playing heavy metal music. They become symbol of resistance against the conservative moslem.
Amuba represents the movement of queer groups, to bring the statement on how we acknowledge the practice from marginalized group.
Then two participating artists, Pisitakun Kuantelaeng and Yennu Ariendra presents their current project on resistance music, both inspired by history and tradition within indigenous society.
