Yogyakarta Biennale Foundation is organizing another Equator Symposium to be held in October 2024.
We invite students and independent researchers who are interested in the idea of advocating local art history and knowledge to submit research abstracts to be presented at the Symposium.
The Equator Symposium is one of the programs of the Yogyakarta Biennale Foundation. Equator Symposium is an international forum designed as a meeting place for experts, thinkers, practitioners, researchers from various fields of science. This is an event to share information and knowledge, exchange ideas and opinions as an effort to build a critical understanding of various contemporary art practices in relation to social, cultural and political dynamics in the equatorial region. In 2024, the symposium will be held for the sixth time.
